It might be his first official release, but ADMT’s ‘Dream’ suggests an artist who has been around as long as you can remember. “Seems that we’re all pieces in a bigger game but we’re not told the rules we don’t know how to play,” is just one of the many lyrics that prove ADMT’s gift for rateability, while the bizarre mix of Syd Barrett vocal rhythms and an anthemic Ed Sheeran-esque chorus creates a truly unique final product. Despite the influence of two acoustic guitar-wielding icons, the thick, fuzzy electronic basslines just add another facet to the texture. He explains that “’Dream’ is about Finding something worth striving for - looking at what is happening around us and in our lives and understanding that it doesn’t have to be that way.
